For the first time ever, camping will soon be allowed at a Manitowoc County park.
County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer explained on the WCUB Breakfast Club that campsites will be opening at Walla Hi Park east of Kiel.
The 12 campsites will be available through reservations that can be made throughout the camping season. Campgrounds open at the beginning of May and end on October 31st.
It will cost $28 a night. Walla Hi Park was acquired by the county in 1977 and consists of 160 acres for hiking and picnicking.
More information on the campgrounds can be found on the park’s department section of ManitowocCountyWI.gov.
