A man from Shawano has been arrested in Appleton after attempting to expose himself.
The Appleton Police Department responded to the 1600 block of East Harding Drive yesterday (April 3rd) at approximately 5:30 a.m. for a suspicious complaint.
The initial call reported that a man was attempting to enter apartments while exposing himself.
Officers arrived on scene and located the man, 37-year-old Jonathan Lupe of Shawano, but he fled on foot and forced his way into an unlocked apartment.
As Appleton PD officers entered the apartment, Lupe jumped from a second-story balcony to avoid being apprehended.
The 37-year-old suffered a foot injury when he hit the ground and was swiftly arrested by law enforcement outside the building.
After receiving medical treatment for his foot injury, he was transported to the Outagamie County Jail.
He has been charged with Lewd and Lascivious Behavior, Criminal Trespassing to a Dwelling, Resisting/Obstructing an Officer, two counts of Disorderly Conduct, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
