Some Eastern Wisconsin companies have been awarded for their safety in the workplace.
The 31st annual Workplace Safety Award winners were announced yesterday (April 3rd) in three categories of manufacturing, agriculture, transportation, utilities, and lastly, construction.
The Neenah Foundry won the Mega category for safety in manufacturing. Hurckman Mechanical Industries of Green Bay and Tweet/Garot Mechanical of De Pere won in the construction categories for medium and large businesses respectively.
A panel of independent safety, health, and insurance professionals selected the winners based on company safety records, training programs, safety and health leadership, and other accomplishments.
The Workplace Safety Awards, previously known as the Corporate Safety Awards, were renamed this year to put more emphasis on the team members who promote safety and well-being, highlighting the joint effort required to maintain safe workplaces.
The awards will be officially presented at the Wisconsin Safety Council’s Annual Conference in Wisconsin Dells.
