A convicted sex offender will be residing in Manitowoc.
Manitowoc Police explain that 57-year-old Lee A. Smith will be residing in the 1100 block of South 19th Street when he’s released from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections on April 8th.
He was convicted of 1st and 2nd degree sexual assault of a child and 4th-degree sexual assault with the victims being minor female acquaintances.
MPD reminds the public that sex offenders have always lived in the community, and that the information is not intended to increase fear, but rather to keep the public as informed as possible.
Citizen abuse of the information to threaten, intimidate, or harass Smith will not be tolerated.
Smith will be a registrant with the Sex Offender Registration Program for life and must wear a GPS Tracking Device.
He will also be on extended supervision through 2029.
