There are three meetings today (April 3rd) in the City of Manitowoc.
Up first is the Room Tax Committee, which will be in the Council Chambers at 4:30 p.m. where they will review numerous Discover Manitowoc Grant applications.
Then, at 5:30 p.m., the Finance Committee will take over the Chambers, where the public will be given time to comment.
After viewing a report on 2025 weights and measures licenses, the group will enter a closed session to discuss a two-year operator’s license application submitted by a resident and a notice of claim against the city filed by an individual involved in a crash in October.
The driver claimed to be unable to see a stop sign at the intersection of Buffalo and North 7th Streets, causing the accident.
Closing out the day will be the Crime Prevention Committee, which will convene at 6:30 p.m. in the Meeting and Training Room on the Manitowoc Police Department building.
After getting their usual updates, the group will discuss the Cryptocurrency scam, which reportedly caused the loss of $1.4 billion last year.
These are the final meetings for the week in the Clipper City.
