The South 8th Street Bridge in Sheboygan looks to be headed for inspection.
At the City’s regularly scheduled Public Works Committee meeting on Tuesday (March 25th), an inspection for the bridge was up for discussion.
The committee unanimously voted to approve a resolution that authorizes the city to enter an agreement with Hardesty and Hanover LLC to conduct the inspection.
The 8th Street bridge, located Downtown over the Sheboygan River is the City’s lone vertical-lift bridge, allowing the passage of larger-sized boats.
Following the unanimous vote by the Public Works Committee, the Common Council is expected to give the bridge inspection full approval at a future meeting.
