Beverly A. Hildebrandt, age 89, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life with family by her side on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Bev was born on May 30, 1935 in Plymouth, WI, to the late Nicholas and Adeline (Wassink) Franzen. She graduated from Kiel High School with the class of 1953, and went on to Mt. Sinai Nursing School in Milwaukee where she obtained her nursing diploma to become a Registered Nurse. On September 19, 1959, Beverly married Earl O. Hildebrant at St. John’s United Church of Christ in New Holstein. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2018. Bev retired from St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay after a long nursing career. After retirement, she did in-home care to keep herself busy. She loved gardening and spending time with her grandkids. In her later years, she also enjoyed traveling. Bev always had the game on, whatever Wisconsin team was playing! She loved baking tons of Christmas cookies and tortes. Bev was a longtime member of Faith Lutheran Church in Valders, where she was an active member of the Faithful Quilters group. She also was a passionate supporter of many various veteran groups. Bev’s infectious laugh will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include Bev’s six children, Jeff Hildebrandt, Manitowoc; Janice Hildebrandt, Eau Claire; Bill Hildebrandt, Metlakatla, AK; Kevin (Leslie) Hildebrandt, Fremont; Gary (Shelly) Hildebrandt, New Richmond; and Ann (Pete) Reinke, Manitowoc; grandchildren Chandler (Jamie) Bergh, Mason, Carter, Rio, Garret, Trevor, Paige, and Ryan Hildebrandt, Abigail (Brian Tlachac) and Erin Reinke; great-grandchildren Laramie and Baker; siblings Nick Franzen and Barbara Turner; sisters-in-law Joyce Polster and Joann Hildebrandt; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
