A group of independent filmmakers and cinema enthusiasts are joining forces to put on the inaugural Sheboygan Film Festival.
The festival, which aims to highlight local and area filmmakers, will be held from October 2nd through the 5th and is a collaborative effort with the Belladonna Film Project.
Committee members have begun meeting with various businesses and organizations throughout the county as well as the state’s Tourism Department, offering the opportunity to be involved.
The Kohler Foundation has already awarded a grant to start the project, and the committee is exploring additional funding opportunities.
SFF Senior Programmer Jon Gollner noted, “We’re excited to see submissions already flowing in and will be considering submissions through the summer.”
More information, including film submission information, can be found at SheboyganFilmFest.com.
