A Sheboygan high school has a new man in charge.
The Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) has named Nicholas Collins as the next Principal at Sheboygan North High School.
Collins will assume the role starting in the fall semester following the retirement of the current Principal John Matczak, who has been in the role since 2016.
For the past seven years, Collins served as Horace Mann Middle School Principal while serving on district-wide committees including Special Education and Professional Learning Communities.
On his appointment, SASD Superintendent Jake Konrath said, “His greatest strengths are his ability to see the best in everyone, his collaborative work with staff, and his commitment to putting students first in everything he does.”
Principal Collins will now be tasked with presiding over the largest school in the SASD, as Sheboygan North has an enrollment of approximately 1,500 students.
