With strength, resilience, and an undeniable love for his family, Ronald Joseph Sukowaty found his peace on March 8, 2025, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. At 63, he left this world the same way he lived—on his own terms, with quiet strength and a heart full of love for those around him.
Born on January 31, 1962, in Manitowoc, WI, Ron was the son of Andrew and Lynabelle (Krepline) Sukowaty. He grew up on the family homestead, where he spent his entire life—a place that was not just home, but a part of him. He was a proud graduate of Reedsville High School, Class of 1980.
Ron was a man who could fix anything and grow everything. His hands were always busy—whether he was working at Manitowoc Cranes, All Power Transmissions, or Bradley Farms, welding in his shop, tending to his garden, cooking up something in the kitchen, or heading out to the woods for deer hunting—one of his favorite pastimes. Farming wasn’t just a job; it was his way of life. He found peace in the rhythm of the land and joy in sharing what he grew with those he loved.
But above all else, his greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted father to Shanna (Matt) Fitzgerald of Reedsville, Andrew (Gwen) Sukowaty of Manitowoc, Jesse Sukowaty of Manitowoc, and Jayme (Theresa) Sukowaty of New Berlin. Nothing made him happier than being “Grandpa Ron” to his four grandchildren: Tylah, Ella, Brady, and Camilla. Whether it was cheering them on at their sporting events, sharing his wisdom, or just being their biggest supporter, he cherished every moment with them.
Ron’s world was also filled with the love of his siblings: Judy (Glen) Abel, Gary (Marlene) Sukowaty, Wayne Sukowaty, and Stan (Laurie) Sukowaty, as well as Barb, Kay, Debbie, Jerome, Jenny, and Amy. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
He now joins his parents, Andrew and Lynabelle Sukowaty, and his nephew, Kraig, in eternal rest.
