
Quick work from firefighters kept a fire in Sheboygan from spreading.
The Sheboygan County Communications Center received a call yesterday (March 12th) reporting a structure fire in the 1400 block of MacArthur Avenue just before 5:30 p.m.
Sheboygan Fire Department crews were on scene within three minutes to discover a detached garage entirely engulfed in flames.
It took five minutes to extinguish the blaze, preventing the flames from spreading to other nearby structures.
No injuries have been reported, and no one was displaced as a result, however, an estimated $20,000 in damages were reported.
The Sheboygan Fire Department has deemed the cause to be accidental and they want to remind residents to never leave an open flame unattended.
The Sheboygan Police Department aided the Fire Department in the response to the fire.
