
Law enforcement in the city of Appleton is investigating a nighttime shooting.
The Appleton Police Department received a call on Monday (March 10th) reporting gunshots being heard in the 1000 block of West Fifth Street at approximately 10:00 p.m.
When officers arrived on the scene, a male victim in a nearby residence was found who had been shot in the foot by a bullet that had traveled through the wall of his home.
He was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
While investigating the scene further, officers located numerous shell casings outside in the street.
Currently, no suspects have been brought into custody, as the investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
