The Sheboygan County Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) is now offering transportation services for residents.
The Sheboygan County Connect program will help rural residents with getting to and from places such as supermarkets, grocery stores, and pharmacies.
To be eligible for the program, a person is required to be either a veteran, 60 years or older, or between the ages of 18 and 59 with a qualifying disability.
Shopping trips will be offered with 60- to 90-minute appointment windows to allow time for shoppers to get everything they need.
Fares will be based on the distance between a traveler’s home and destination but will range from $3 to $7 one-way, with roundtrip fares doubling the fee for a one-way trip.
Rides are required to be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance and will be offered Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
