More pedal cabs could be coming to the streets of Sheboygan.
At the city’s upcoming Licensing, Hearings, and Public Safety Committee meeting tomorrow (March 13th), an item up for discussion includes amending the Sheboygan Municipal Code to “allow more forms of pedal cabs that can be licensed to carry passengers in the city.”
This comes as a direct referral to the committee from Alders Robert La Fave and Zach Rust.
Currently, the Municipal Code restricts the use of anything besides “commercial quadricycles” to be used as pedal cabs.
This change requires anything being used as a pedal cab to have at least three wheels and to be operated in a similar manner to a bicycle.
By introducing the ordinance Alders Rust and La Fave hope to allow a wider variety of pedal cabs to operate in Sheboygan.
