A local recovery organization has been named the first in the state to join a new recovery-friendly workplace.
Biehl Bridges to Recovery, in partnership with the University of Wisconsin Madison Extension, has announced Lighthouse Recovery Community Center in Manitowoc and Sheboygan as the first designee of the Recover Friendly Workplace program, a nationwide movement toward greater support of wellness within the workplace.
In Wisconsin, this work is funded by the Wisconsin Partnership Program and implemented by the recovery community organization Biehl Bridges to Recovery in partnership with UW Extension.
Lighthouse Recovery Community Centers Executive Director Jason W. Latva calls the program really is a “game changer” as it “addresses stigma reduction, helping create and maintain healthy work environments.”
