A man is facing charges after allegedly pulling a gun during a physical altercation outside of the Manitowoc/Two Rivers YMCA.
Officers were called to the Y at 4:45 Tuesday evening (March 11th) on a report of a fight in the parking lot.
The incident started as a verbal altercation on the basketball court, which spilled into the parking lot.
A witness told police that they heard someone yell “drop the pistol” during the fight.
None of the individuals involved were willing to speak with police, and a gun was not immediately located.
However, video surveillance from the Y showed a 49-year-old man, whose son was a part of the fight, pull a gun, cock it, and point it at the combatants.
A background check showed the armed man has a concealed carry license, and the gun and a fully loaded magazine were found inside the suspect’s vehicle.
Four people were arrested, including the man with the weapon, who was charged with 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and Disorderly Conduct.
The other three were charged with Disorderly Conduct.
