Authorities in Calumet County have identified the victims involved in a recent fatal car crash.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident on State Highway 32/57 near Shady Lane Drive in the Town of Charlestown last Wednesday (March 5th).
After initial investigations, authorities discovered that a northbound SUV had struck a southbound pickup truck head-on.
The driver of the pickup, 73-year-old Ronald Woelfel, and passenger, 70-year-old Nancy Woelfel, both of New Holstein, passed away as a result of their injuries after being transported to a Chilton medical facility.
The driver of the SUV, 57-year-old Vicki Fesing from the Town of Chilton, survived the head-on collision but suffered significant injuries and remains hospitalized at this time.
The investigation into the fatal crash remains open and ongoing by the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office.
