No one was injured following a hotel fire in Little Chute.
WBAY reports that Little Chute Fire Department was called to the Country Inn and Suites Hotel in the 100 block of Patriot Drive yesterday (March 10th) at approximately 7:00 p.m.
Arriving crews saw that the fire had spread to one of the hotel’s boiler pipes in the ceiling.
Little Chute Fire Chief Duane Nechodom said the flames’ location made the building’s sprinkler system ineffective at extinguishing the fire, as it had spread above the sprinkler heads.
Crews knocked down the flames as other firefighters worked on evacuating the hotel guests, performing room-to-room checks.
All patrons made it out okay, and no injuries have been reported.
The hotel has since been temporarily closed as the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Refunds are being given to those spending the night at the Country Inn and Suites, and they assisted in finding new places for their guests to stay last night.
