
A member of the Manitowoc Police K9 squad helped get a significant quantity of drugs off the street.
Officers pulled over a vehicle in the 1500 block of Marshal Street at 5:15 Monday evening (March 10th) for a window tint violation.
K9 Riley was called to the scene to conduct a sniff of the vehicle and alerted his handler to potential drugs on the front driver’s side door.
A search of the vehicle revealed a loose panel underneath the radio, behind which were two cloth bags containing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
In total, 39.4 grams of meth was seized, and the 38-year-old man was arrested.
He faces charges of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver between 10 and 50 Grams, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, and two counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
