Authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred yesterday afternoon on the 100 block of South Bird Street in Sun Prairie.
When officers arrived, they discovered a 16-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound to her shoulder inside a residence.
The victim was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police believe the teen was with a group inside an apartment at the time of the incident.
A 19-year-old male has been taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing as authorities review potential charges.
