A Plymouth man is in custody following a weekend police chase.
WBAY reports that deputies with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office stopped a westbound vehicle for speeding on State Highway 23 in the Town of Empire at approximately 4:00 a.m. Saturday (March 8th).
The vehicle initially stopped, however, the driver, a 52-year-old Plymouth man, sped off, initiating a pursuit.
The suspect traveled at roughly 30 to 40 MPH and ran numerous red lights as he fled deputies.
Tire deflation devices were deployed on Highway 23, and the suspect hit two of them before coming to a stop in the area of Amory Street.
The 52-year-old was then arrested and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail, where he is facing charges of felony Fleeing and Eluding.
No injuries were reported during the chase, which spanned approximately three and a half miles.
