The Valders Area School District is doing its part to help a student following a car accident.
The district is hosting a blood drive next Friday (March 14th) from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at the Valders Middle School gym on Jefferson Street.
Mitchell, a senior at Valders High School, has had to have multiple blood transfusions after being involved in a serious car accident.
The Valders School District says the need for blood is constant and critical.
From unexpected accidents to ongoing medical treatments, countless people rely on the generosity of blood donors.
Anyone interested in participating must be 17 years or older to donate blood and 16 years of age with a signed document from parents. An appointment is required and can be made at donateblood.versiti.org.
