
The WIAA high school hockey state titles will be handed out this weekend in Middleton.
The 55th Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys Hockey State Tournament and the 24th Girls Hockey State Tournament are currently underway at Bob Suter Capital Ice Arena.
The single-elimination boys tournament features eight teams in two divisions, while four girls teams are also battling for a championship.
Locally, Notre Dame received the #3 seed as they look for their third state title in a row, and their fourth since 2012.
The Tritons have appeared in eleven state tournaments over the years and will kick off the 2025 tournament facing Wausau West at 2:00 p.m.
As for the girls, the top-seeded De Pere Co-op faced #3 Sun Prairie West Co-op and won 4-0.
They will now take on D.C. Everest at 3:00 Saturday afternoon for a state title after the Evergreens took down Eau Claire North 4-3 in overtime.
