
Pets are unaccounted for after a fire in Two Rivers.
The Two Rivers Fire Department was called yesterday (March 6th) at approximately 3:30 p.m. for a reported structure fire in the 2300 block of Monroe Street.
Arriving fire crews discovered significant flames coming from the duplex residence.
Quick actions by firefighters successfully extinguished the flames before they extended further into the home.
Prior to the arrival of the fire department, the Two Rivers Police Department assisted in evacuating all occupants of the home, and no injuries were reported.
However, during further searches of the residence, crews were unable to locate multiple pets that were reported to be inside at the time of the fire and their status remains unknown.
The blaze is reported to have caused $50,000 in damage, and the residents have been displaced.
The Two Rivers Fire Department was assisted in their response by the Manitowoc, Mishicot, Two Creeks, and Town of Two Rivers Fire Departments, along with Mishicot Ambulance.
