Art students at a Sheboygan high school collaborated with a local brewery to design a root beer label.
Koi Vang and Evelyn Meyer, art students at Sheboygan South, were selected to create a custom label for 3 Sheeps Brewing’s root beer which will be sold at events hosted at the brewery.
The label design features elements of the 3 Sheeps brand, including the iconic sheep tubing down a river and the brewery itself.
Additionally, a standout of the label is an interactive, removable sticker of the sheep, making it both playful and collectible.
3 Sheeps owner Grant Pauly encouraged the students to embrace the nostalgia of root beer while merging artistic expression with real-world branding and marketing ideas.
On the design process, Koi said, “A lot of ideas were scratched. We didn’t know what we were doing at first, but eventually, we got the label created.”
As part of the project, Koi and Evelyn visited the 3 Sheeps facility, watched the canning process, toured the brewery, and saw their completed label on the cans of root beer, reinforcing the impact of their work.
3 Sheeps has committed to donating all proceeds made from the root beer sales directly back to the Sheboygan South High School Art Department.
