Correctional Officers (CO) in Calumet County were recently honored at a statewide conference.
C.O. Lori Fleming and C.O. Steven Johannes were amongst the award winners at the Wisconsin Jail Association Conference held this past weekend.
Johannes took home the Motivator Award given out to an individual who best demonstrates teamwork, reliability, inspiration, and dedication amongst other qualities.
As for Fleming, she was named the 2025 Jail Officer of the Year in the state of Wisconsin.
She received the distinction for displaying leadership and involvement in facility and community activities while bringing credit and honor to her facility and her career.
Fleming joined the Calumet County Sheriff’s Office as a C.O. in 2002 while Johannes joined in 2018.
The Sheriff’s Office has congratulated its award-winning team members and has said that both Fleming and Johannes exemplify commitment, professionalism, and leadership within their correctional facility.
