
Numerous teens from Northeastern Wisconsin are set to compete for state honors from the Boys and Girls Club.
The State Youth of the Year competition held by the Boys and Girls Club on March 10th will see 17 teen leaders compete for the highest honor given out to a club member.
Each of the 17 competitors were named Youth of the Year at their respective clubs including Alen of Sheboygan, Zach from Oshkosh, Alara from Fox Valley, and Jeannie of Fond du Lac.
Each of these finalists will provide speeches, presentations, and interviews to a panel of 11 judges, where the field of 17 will be narrowed to five finalists.
These five finalists will be collectively awarded $25,000 in Home Team Scholarships from organizations such as the Packers, Brewers, and Bucks.
In the end, one competitor will be selected as State Youth of the Year and move on to represent Wisconsin at the Midwest competition.
