The School District of Sheboygan Falls is set to begin its referendum information sessions.
The first of four info sessions to be held throughout March will take place tonight (March 4th) at 6:30 p.m. at Sheboygan Falls High School.
These info sessions are intended to allow residents to join the conversation on the proposed referendum that will appear on the spring election ballot.
Facility tours will accompany the presentations for attendees to see firsthand the needs of the school district that will be addressed if the referendum is passed.
During last year’s general election, the district asked residents two referendum questions totaling just under $100 million.
Both questions failed to obtain enough votes, and in response, the district put out a survey to gauge the community’s feelings towards both referendum questions.
This resulted in the announcement of a new $70 million referendum question targeting the district’s most critical needs.
One future info session at the high school will take place on March 12th, and two are scheduled at Sheboygan Falls Elementary on March 11th and March 18th.
