Another member of the Seehafer Broadcasting team is being honored by the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association.
Director of New Media Emily Freitag was named the Young Professional of the Month for March.
Freitag is the digital guru at Seehafer Broadcasting and has been responsible for the launch of Seehafer Digital.
She has crafted brand new websites for numerous local companies and organizations, including Tapped on the Lakeshore, PetSkull Brewing, Manitowoc Fish and Game, and Custom Health, which went live on February 27th.
Seehafer Broadcasting Vice President Terry Stevenson said Emily has “shown herself to be the very definition of innovation,” as she has “enhanced our company’s brand through her creativity and graphic design skills, and she has helped us to create and maintain a cohesive branded image within the community across all platforms.”
Freitag graduated with a degree in biology in 2020, but the pandemic left her job opportunities limited.
She explained, “I got involved in some digital marketing side projects and realized that’s where I wanted to be. When Seehafer Broadcasting had an opening for Director of New Media, they took a chance on me, and I’m so glad they did. Now, I’m part of an industry and company I hadn’t originally thought about, and I’m really glad I took this path.”
She is the second member of the Seehafer Broadcasting team to receive this honor this year, as News Associate Eric Bauer was named the Young Professional for the Month of January.
Both are also eligible for the WBA’s Young Professional of the Year honor, which will be handed out in June at the WBA Summer Conference.
