The Menasha man arrested in relation to a 2022 overdose death has appeared in court.
31-year-old Julius Elmer was present in an Outagamie County courtroom yesterday (March 3rd) for his initial appearance after being arrested on Thursday by the Appleton Police Department.
Elmer has been charged with one count of First-Degree Reckless Homicide.
The investigation into the 31-year-old began back in August of 2022 after police in Appleton were called to a residence in the 500 block of East Winnebago Street to investigate the death of a 42-year-old Appleton resident.
The death was later ruled an overdose, and Elmer was deemed a suspect.
FOX11 reports that at his initial appearance yesterday, he was given a $150,000 cash bond, which he has yet to post.
Elmer will return to court on March 11th for a preliminary hearing.
