A man has received drug-related charges after fleeing from authorities in Fond du Lac County.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office has shared that in late February, a deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign.
The driver, a 43-year-old man from Waushara, increased his speed and fled, initiating a pursuit from the Deputy.
With the use of tire deflation devices and a PIT maneuver, the vehicle was disabled, and the 43-year-old was arrested.
The subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered nearly 39 grams of fentanyl.
He was then transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail, where he remains on a $25,000 cash bond as he faces charges of Possession with the Intent to Deliver Fentanyl, Felony Eluding, and Second-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety.
According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, the Waushara man has a criminal history involving both possession and distribution of illegal narcotics, dating back to the year 2000.
