The plea hearing for a man charged in a fatal stabbing has been delayed.
Court Records show that 23-year-old Sybastian Crossman was present on Thursday (February 27th) for a previously scheduled plea and sentencing hearing as he has been charged with First-Degree Reckless Homicide related to a fatal stabbing in August 2024.
No resolution to the case was made at Thursday’s hearing and therefore it has been rescheduled for a later date.
Crossman had originally pled not guilty to the charge back in October; however, the new plea and sentencing hearing suggests that a change of plea may be coming from the 23-year-old.
Crossman was arrested by the Oshkosh Police Department in August after they asked for the public’s help in locating him when he was deemed a suspect in a stabbing.
The 20-year-old stabbing victim was transported to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
Crossman is scheduled to stand trial beginning on May 5th, however, that may be subject to change after he returns to court on April 15th for his new plea and sentencing hearing.
