A local mental health organization is accepting applications for some yearly scholarships.
NAMI Manitowoc County is continuing Prevent Suicide Manitowoc County’s tradition of helping local students targeting a career in mental health through scholarships.
Prevent Suicide Manitowoc County merged with NAMI in 2023.
There are two $2,000 scholarships available, the PFC Morgan Daly USMC and the SGT Terry Peterson USMC scholarships.
They are both named after loved ones who lost their battle with suicide. Applicants must be a resident of Manitowoc County and a 2025 graduate of a high school in the county who is pursuing higher education in mental health.
They must also have declared their attendance at an accredited institution for the Fall 2025 semester.
Applications will be accepted throughout the month of March.
