
One member of the Manitowoc Lincoln gymnastics team will be competing at state this Saturday (March 8th).
Coach Jacque Bartow says Devin Talley will be competing for gold at the Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Fieldhouse after qualifying at the JFK Fieldhouse at Lincoln High School over the weekend.
Talley finished 2nd on the floor exercise with a score of 9.2 and the vault with a score of 8.525.
The rest of the team didn’t fare as well at the sectional meet.
Manitowoc Lincoln, as a team, finished in 6th place with a score of 129.825.
The top two teams, Stevens Point and the Oshkosh West Co-op, will be moving on to state.
They each got team scores of 136.
Homestead finished in 3rd place as a team, followed by Nicolet, Grafton, and Whitefish Bay.
Sheboygan’s Co-op finished last.
