The next edition of the Manitowoc County Historical Society’s Hungry for History series is looking to help people find their roots.
The program on March 19th, called “Planting a Garden and Finding Your Roots,” will tell the story of heirloom gardens and how you can learn Wisconsin’s garden history and compare it to your own family’s story.
The program will be led by author Susan Apps Bodilly, the daughter of famed Wisconsin author Jerry Apps.
The talk includes learning how to “think like a historian” by using primary source documents related to gardens to discover our state’s history.
The program will once again be held at Branch Station, located at 8112 Village Drive in Whitelaw.
Advanced registration is required at a cost of $35, however, MCHS members will receive a 15% discount. Registration can be done over the phone by calling 920-684-4445 or online at ManitowocCountyHistory.org.
