A man from Neenah has been sentenced for repeatedly stabbing his brother.
27-year-old Darnell McCauley was present in court yesterday (February 27th) for his sentencing hearing after being convicted of Aggravated Battery-Intending Great Bodily Harm and Second-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety due to no contest pleas.
Winnebago County Judge Daniel Bissett sentenced the 27-year-old to spend four years in prison followed by six years of extended supervision.
Initially, McCauley was potentially facing life in prison but was later convicted of the two lesser charges.
In December of 2023, McCauley got into a fight with his brother involving a dispute over a cigar.
The altercation escalated and came to an end when McCauley produced a knife and stabbed his brother 18 times.
His brother sustained significant injuries to his neck, head, shoulders, and back.
