
A local student has been named the Cadet of the Year through the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Education Advocates Association (WLEEAA).
On February 7th, Mishicot senior Spencer Loughead was presented the award after being nominated by Detective James Brooks of the Mishicot Police Department.
The Mishicot Public Safety Cadets is an organization that teaches kids 14-21 years old law enforcement skills.
These skills are taught by law enforcement officers and prepare youth for a career in law enforcement.
Loughead is currently a senior at Mishicot High School and has been with the cadet post since 2021.
He currently holds the title of chief.
