No charges are coming forward in an officer-involved shooting in Oshkosh last year.
Fox 11 reports that the Winnebago County District Attorney’s Office ruled that the use of deadly force was reasonable and justified in the death of Delveon Fairman.
Oshkosh Police were called to the 400 block of West 10th Street in December for a reported stabbing.
Officers found a stabbing victim outside and when they went inside, they found Fairman.
According to the Winnebago County DA’s office, he refused to drop a knife and then stormed toward officers.
Fairman was then shot twice by police.
Life-saving measures were performed but Fairman ended up dying at a hospital.
A second stabbing victim was also found and both people were taken to the hospital for treatment.
According to the DA’s office, they say no one will ever know why Fairman stabbed the victims, retreated to a basement and armed himself, and disregarded law enforcement commands.
However, after careful review, they concluded that deadly force was justified.
