
The City of Manitowoc has opened up the application period for a tourism-centric grant program.
The Discover Manitowoc Grant is a joint effort between the City of Manitowoc’s Room Tax Commission and the Department of Tourism, which aims to providing funding assistance to bring new events to fruition and more overnight visitors to events held in the City of Manitowoc.
The program previously supported events like Lights in Lincoln Park, Subfest, the Wisconsin Sand Sculpting Festival, Manitowoc’s Garden Faire Extraordinaire, and the Maritime Bay Classic.
Event organizers are encouraged to apply, but note that funds are limited, and there is a three-year funding limit.
Award money will be given out by the Room Tax Commission.
Applications can be found online at Manitowoc.org and must be submitted via email to Visit Manitowoc Director of Tourism, Courtney Hansen at CHansen@manitowoc.org by March 24th.
