The owner of a downtown Sheboygan business is looking to help other businesses in the City.
Lynn Potyen, the owner of The GameBoard, has been appointed to the Harbor Centre Business Improvement District’s (BID’s) Board of Directors for 2025.
Last year, Potyen was singled out by the Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) and presented with its 2024 Outstanding Contribution to the Games Industry award.
This year, her store has been nominated for a GAMA Retailer of the Year award. She has won numerous awards from the Chamber of Commerce over the years.
Potyen said she wanted to join the board because “Making the entire Business Improvement District more successful helps all BID businesses, but it also makes Sheboygan a better place for all residents.”
BID Member Services Director Kristin Bahr called Potyen a great addition because of her “commitment to supporting local businesses, enhancing community engagement, and driving positive change.”
