A division of A.C.E. Building Service in Manitowoc is joining a group of professionals from across the state as a part of the 76th Annual Wisconsin Society of Land Surveyors’ Institute.
Jeff DeZeeuw and Brooke Bastian of Corner Point were among the 1,100 individuals at the conference in Wisconsin Dells, representing the local business.
DeZeeuw attended sessions including “Is the Client’s Legal Description Defensible?” and “What Makes a Document Recordable? Inconsistencies with Counties,” which examined challenges in property documentation and electronic recording advancements.
He also participated in discussions on tax increment financing and recent court cases impacting land surveying.
Bastian attended sessions such as “Principles of Adverse Possession” and “Title Boundary and Field Evidence,” which explored property law complexities, including discrepancies between recorded deeds and physical survey findings.
Chris Herzog, the President of A.C.E. Building Service tells SeehaferNews.com, “By attending events like the WSLS Institute, our team gains valuable insights into evolving industry standards, legal requirements, and best practices.”
