The Valders/Roncalli gymnastics co-op did just a little bit better than the Manitowoc gymnastics team in the final conference meet at Kaukauna.
Valders/Roncalli finished in 2nd with a final score of 130.175, while Manitowoc was 3rd, finishing with a score of 129.05.
Oshkosh finished 1st, Kaukauna was 4th, and Sheboygan was 5th.
Valders/Roncalli’s Makenna Kaderabek earned 1st place in the vault with a score of 8.3 and 5th on the beam exercise with a score of 8.35.
Clara Sieracki scored an 8.2 on the vault, good for 3rd place, while also ending the day with a 4th place finish on the floor exercise with 8.45 and 3rd in the all-around with a score of 33.675.
Manitowoc Lincoln Senior Devin Talley tied for 1st in the floor exercise with a career-high score of 9.25 while also earning a silver medal on the vault with an 8.25 and 4th in the all-around with 33.55.
Erin Borchardt was 2nd on the beam with a career-high score of 9.15 and 5th in the all-around.
Khole Jalbert finished 5th on the vault with a score of 8.1.
Both teams qualified for their respective sectional meets this coming weekend.
The Valders/Roncalli co-op goes to D2 Sectionals in Antigo on Friday, while Manitowoc hosts D4 Sectionals at the JFK Fieldhouse this Saturday beginning at 11:00 am.
