
Some rural roads in Manitowoc County will be getting some upgrades done.
Governor Tony Evers announced at the beginning of the month that $100 million will be invested in 55 projects that will assist with fixing roads that support farmers and producers.
That includes Center Road in the Town of Newton.
About $1.4 million from the state will go towards the expected $1.6 million needed in upgrades.
The Town of Liberty is also getting a little more than $593,000 for improvements to Pine River and Range Line Road.
In Calumet County, Crosstown and Plappert Roads will get a little more than $1 million for improvements along with Town Hall Road in the Town of Red River in Kewaunee County.
Rural road funding is also going to Door, Fond du Lac, Outagamie, and Brown Counties.
