The average price for a home in Manitowoc County has dropped since the end of 2024.
The Wisconsin Realtors Association released its January 2025 Monthly Housing Report, which states that the median price for a home that month was $220,000, which is down $8,000 from the previous month.
However, that price is up significantly from January 2024’s figure of $189,900.
Also, the number of homes sold dropped from 89 in December to 56 last month, but that follows recent trends and is more than the 53 homes sold in January of 2024.
The statewide numbers tell a similar story.
The median price last month throughout Wisconsin was$293,000, which is $12,000 less than in December, and nearly $30,000 less than last January.
There were a total of 3,537 homes sold last month, which is down from 5,125 in December and up from the 3,436 last January.
