A local dental care company is teaming up with Wisconsin Area Health Education Centers to address the workforce shortage in the dental industry.
Lakeshore Community Health Care’s Sheboygan Clinic will be hosting a Future Oral Health Workforce Day on April 15th, starting at noon.
The free workshop is designed to connect high school students with dental career opportunities.
Casey Wilson, DDS, the Dental Director at Lakeshore Community Health Care explained that the workshop “offers students a unique opportunity to experience dentistry hands-on and understand how they can make a real difference in their communities through oral healthcare careers.”
Students will participate in a variety of hands-on activities, including interactive dental procedure demonstrations, dental x-ray positioning techniques, instrument identification and handling, digital scanning demonstrations, and sterilization procedures and protocols.
