Fans of Roncalli sports have reason to believe another gold ball could be added to their trophy case.
The Jets boys’ basketball team was in Bonduel Wednesday night to take on the #1 ranked team in Division Four.
It was a tight matchup through halftime, with Roncalli holding a 36-30 lead at the break.
However, stingy defense and lights-out shooting propelled the Jets on a 13-0 run to start the second half and they cruised to a dominating 70-48 win over the Bears.
The long ball was a killer for Roncalli, as they went 11/17 from beyond the arc. Donovan Cowley led all scorers with 20, while teammates Matthew Bonin and Landon Chalupny contributed 13 and 10 points respectively.
The win puts the Jets at 20-1 on the season, 12-0 in the EWC. They have three games left in the regular season before they are a push to Madison.
The Jets will be in Chilton on Friday (February 21st) to close out a massive eight-game, two-and-a-half-week-long road series, before returning home next week for games against Howards Grove and Valders.
