Officer Daniel Gonzales, who was shot while on duty last week, has been released from Froedtert Hospital after undergoing several surgeries.
The incident occurred when Gonzales responded to reports of a man walking near 27th and Wisconsin.
The suspect allegedly shot Gonzales twice before being fatally shot by another officer, Isaiah Scott.
Gonzales has served with the Milwaukee Police Department for over eight years.
