
A firefighter in Howards Grove is calling it a career after nearly five decades of service.
Tom Weber, the Howards Grove Fire Department’s longest-serving member, is retiring after putting in 45 years of dedicated work in the community.
Weber retires while holding the title of Safety Officer; however, he spent the majority of his career as the department’s Captain.
In Howards Grove, his time with the fire department will be remembered for his willingness to help whenever and whoever in times of need.
While retiring from active firefighting duty, Weber will continue his support to the Howards Grove Fire Department, serving as a member of the Fire Corps.
