Two of the top teams in Division Four High School Boys basketball battle tonight.
The 19 and 1 Roncalli Jets visit the undefeated and 20 and 0 Bonduel Bears.
The Jets are making their seventh stop of an eight-game road trip that has lasted three and a half weeks.
They are led by junior point guard Donovan Cowley.
He leads the Jets in scoring, assists and rebounds and is among the leaders in steals.
Senior Matt Bonin and Sophomore Maddix Gulseth are excellent three-point shooters, while junior Dominik Frozena complements his teammates with the ability to shoot it from deep or score in the post.
Bonduel plays in the Central Wisconsin-East Division and is a solid team from top to bottom.
Three players average nearly 16 points per game, namely Quinn Wesenberg, Race Anvelnik, and Ryan Westrich.
Westrich also leads the Bears in rebounding at nearly nine per game for a team that scores nearly 80 points per game.
Head Coach Dustin Copp is not afraid to go nine to ten players deep, while the Jets rely a little more heavily on their top five in their rotation.
Many feel this is a possible preview of the D-4 state championship game in a little more than a month in Madison.
Coverage of tonight’s game on 1240 WOMT and WOMTRadio.com begins at 7:00 p.m.
There is only one other game tonight on the schedule, as Notre Dame hosts Ashwaubenon.
