Today is the Spring Primary Election Day in Wisconsin.
The polls will open at 7:00 am and stay open until 8:00 pm.
Today’s big statewide race is for state superintendent, with Incumbent Jill Underly running for one of two spots against Sauk Prairie Superintendent Jeff Wright and Education Specialist Brittney Kinser.
Locally, there are two races in the Manitowoc area. Seven people are running for three seats open on the Manitowoc Public School Board.
After the election, that number will be down to six. Candidates include Brayden Myer, Chrystal Myer, David Bowman, Ann Holsen, Michael Retzinger, Mary Lofy Blahnik, and Lisa Anne Krueger.
There is also a race in the 1st Aldermanic District for the City of Manitowoc.
Incumbent Brett Vanderkin is running against Ray Geigel and Andrew Dunbar for the seat.
